I remember having to be on the waiting list at Toys R Us in order to have the chance. Ah, Cabbage Patch Kids!
My girls had Glow Baby and Care Bears which I somehow got rid of before they were ready – oops!
I always feel like these fad toys are too expensive, but hearing the joy in your voice makes me think that they might actually be worth it.
Awesome! How fun to get to pass on this precious possession!
I remember traveling to the next state with my older sister to find one for my niece for Christmas (25 years ago!). Amazing how they have lasted all this time!
We went after Christmas to pick out my Cabbage Patch doll, Linnet Tara. It was slim pickins, but she’s exactly what I wanted!
Stacey, I didn’t realize Ike was first fed by you until I listened to whole audio. How sweet. I love your daughter’s little feet. How fun.
How sweet that this baby has another mother. Isabelle must have felt like she hit the jackpot finding this sweet doll.
Adorable. I’m looking forward to hearing stories about Isabelle and Ike Phil. Something tells me that he will be very well taken care of!
So special that she is loving a toy that used to be loved by you! How fun!
My girls have inherited my CPKs and babydolls. It has been fun watching them be the mommy to my old memories. Hopefully one day, I’ll pass them to my grandkids too.
How fun. I am sure she’ll love him to bits.
Oh my gosh – that looks exactly the same as one of our Cabbage Patch Kids growing up – same outfit and everything. I still remember the smell of new CPKs. My mom was great at saving some of our toys like this, and I feel fortunate to also have some toys from my childhood that our girls enjoy today – both at our home and my parents’.
That’s so funny, Amamda!
Hey! I had a Cabbage Patch doll when I was a little girl. Wonder what happened to her? So glad Ike has found a new mama to take care of him!
