I am a literacy consultant who focuses on writing workshop. I've been working with K-6 teachers and students since 2009. Prior to that, I was a fourth and fifth-grade teacher in New York City and Rhode Island.
I'm the author of Craft Moves (Stenhouse Publishers, 2016) and the co-author of Jump Into Writing (Zaner-Bloser, 2021), Welcome to Writing Workshop (Stenhouse Publishers, 2019), and Day By Day (Stenhouse, 2010).
I live in Central Pennsylvania with my husband and children. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, doing Pilates, cooking, baking, making ice cream, and reading novels.

Adorable! Alex always wipes off my kisses too and now he usually doesn’t let me kiss him at all! Good thing Megan is more than willing to still give kisses! 🙂
She’s been doing this for awhile (at home, as a joke) with me. I’ve been meaning to write about it for awhile, but haven’t gotten around to it until today. Thankfully, she’s still more than willing to show affection. (As I’m sure Megan will be doing with you for a long time.)

So cute really, and now you have a tradition of sorts, right?
What a wonderful way to capture your loving moments with Isabelle?
Very cute !
These intimate “moments” with our kids are the best! Thanks for sharing one of yours.
Love this. My kids used to wipe off my kisses to, but I would wipe them in so they would be “forever kisses”. Such wonderful memories!
